Wedding photography by Rebecca Hansen Weddings

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is your philosophy/approach to wedding photography?

Our goal is to make honest, authentic, and creative photographs. Weddings are a combination of photojournalism and set-up portraiture, and we are constantly trying to maintain a balance between the two. Most people aren’t completely themselves in front of a camera, so we set up an environment that allows you to be yourselves. We wait until it feels natural before we start shooting.

I noticed your site talks about Rebecca & Chad. Are you both photographers? If I book with you, who will be there shooting my wedding?

We both work here full-time, each with different roles in the back-end in this business. We both shoot, and are both pretty equally represented in our portfolio and blog posts. We love to shoot together and do so as often as we can, but we do offer pricing for just one of us.

Are you exclusively wedding photographers?

Some portrait photographers choose to do it all (family, baby, senior portraits) but we have chosen to focus on couples. We feel that it is better to focus on one area and be really good in that one thing. We love marriage, weddings and couples, so that’s what we shoot. That being said, we do take a limited number of other commissions, so contact us and we can discuss it.

Do you shoot film or digital?

We shoot most of our work digitally, using Canon professional cameras and lenses. We do however like to throw in a few frames on one of our many film cameras.

What are your packages/prices?

Our wedding packages start at $3,200, and include coverage, a disk of high-resolution images, and an album. Our portrait sessions are $400 and include a disk of high-resolution images. Contact us for more detailed information.

How many images will I receive on my disk of images?

More than enough. We usually deliver 500-600 individually edited images per wedding.

Do you offer a photobooth?

We sure do! We love the photobooth, and so do your guests. We put the images in an online proofing gallery for your guests, and you get a disk of the images.

Are you available for travel?

Yes Yes Yes. We love to travel! We are located near Boston, mainly working in New England and New York, but are available for travel nationally and internationally. We would figure a cost for our travel and give you a price up front.

What is the process for booking a date with you?

Booking a date is on a first-come, first-served basis. First, contact us for availability. We require a signed contract and a $1000 reservation deposit to hold your date. The remaining balance is then due 14 days prior to your wedding date.

Do you have insurance?

Absolutely. We carry 1 million dollars in liability coverage. If your venue requires proof, we can provide a certificate.
